Meg Dwyer currently resides in Chicago, IL, where she works in financial fraud investigations by day and in oil paints by night.

She is a 2006 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art with a concentration in Painting, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting.
Her major painting themes include, briefly, perception as a product of context, transcendence as experienced through nature, and vulnerability as a necessity of love.
With luminosity and dramatic compositions, her artwork is influenced by colors and structures observed in nature, as well as the techniques of past and present masters of realist still life painting.  She showcases subjects by using shallow space and luxurious backdrops, allowing the objects to take on evocative characteristics.  Her paintings are most often realist with an emphasis on the figurative.
She actively experiments with different thematic directions and styles, but continually finds these to be her areas of greatest personal significance.

Further, she admits that she feels odd writing in third person, whether or not it makes her biography appear more professional.  I sincerely appreciate your interest and whatever time you have given towards perusing the artwork which I have included on this site.  I am open to and appreciative of your comments and criticism.

Thank you very much, and enjoy the artwork!
